The Trans Celebration and Planning Committee (TCAP) partners with MoCo Pride Center to host a very special community performance: our very first MCPC Open Mic Night! Called the “Open Hearts Open Mic,” we welcome performers aged 14 years and older in any area of talent to show us what they’ve got!
Queer art is worth protecting, and your stories matter. Especially during Pride Month!
No topic is off limits and art should never be censored, but we want to keep the space welcoming for all audiences. Our later evening performance section will be for adults aged 21+ and may feature adult content. Performers: be aware that there may be some young ones in our space, and please adjust the presentation of your material accordingly.
Our crowd will vote for the top performer in each age group, who will walk away with a fabulous prize! Sign up today to get in the running! Each performer will have approximately 5 minutes to perform depending on the number of sign-ups we receive.
The evening will look like:
5:00 PM - 5:15 PM: Welcome and Introduction
5:15 PM - 6:15 PM: Open Mic Session (Ages 14-20)
Time Limit: Each performer has 5 minutes, depending on sign-ups
6:15 PM - 7:15 PM: Open Mic Session (Ages 21+)
Time Limit: Each performer has 5 minutes, depending on sign-ups
7:15 PM - 7:25 PM: Audience Ranking
Audience will decide who to award prizes to via applause
Winners come to receive their prize!
7:25 PM - 8:00 PM: Cocktail Hour & Close
