Trans/Action Monthly Info Session

Y’all, this is a can’t miss Trans/Action! The fourth Trans/Action of the year will be virtual on May 7th from 7pm-8:30pm and features the inimitable Jamie Grace Alexander (She/They).

Jamie Grace has been at the forefront of state policy changes that affect the beautiful lives of trans people, but as an organizer she doesn’t work alone. Jamie Grace was part of the team that pushed the Trans Health Equity Act past the finish line and into Maryland state law, with the Trans Rights Advocacy Coalition. That work continues today as she focuses on changing policy & conditions for trans community members currently incarcerated in Maryland.

She authored the popular history The Baltimore Queer Paper which brought local LGBTQueer history out of the archives and into the streets for the young people of today’s Baltimore.

She currently works as a community paralegal at Baltimore Action Legal Team. BALT provides critical legal interruptions to criminalization in the form of expungement and warrant recall services for Baltimore’s Black butterfly.

Please join us for our next Trans/Action!
